LaDon Bost specializes
in graphic design and related software,
prepress/desktop publishing, lab management,
Microsoft Office products and web development.
LaDon is the TST liaison for the departments
of Africana Studies, English and
Philosophy. He also maintains the student
computer labs for these departments.
LaDon’s technical
expertise is the result of fourteen
years of hands-on experience with several
of the Charlotte area's most respected
employers: IBM, Belk Stores Services
Corporate, and Cadmus Communications,
to name a few. His experience with
these and other employers provided
a solid background in the field of
technology. He established procedures
and standards for digital file preparation,
maintaining file management and archiving
systems, and technical support of hardware
and software for these companies. Another
accomplishment of note is the connectivity
and implementation of Belk's remote
office configuration. This setup enabled
digital file transfer, remote collaboration,
and technical support from the central
office, eliminating the need to dispatch
personnel to remote locations.
LaDon received a B.F.A.
with a concentration in graphic design
from Western Carolina University. He
has been a Computing Consultant in
the College of Arts and Sciences since
June 2001.
